The Tribute opened in 2001 to rave reviews and including a 'Top 10 Best New Course' by Sports Illustrated Magazine. Designed by Rick Robbins and GA Tour veteran, Gary Koch, the course tours over 1,100 acres of Northern Michigan’s famed Sturgeon River Valley, through towering hardwoods, pristine wetlands, and stunning vistas.
Four tee boxes accommodate all levels of play, and the sheer magnificence of the elevation changes, natural forestry, and the flowing Sturgeon River will delight every player making the seven-and-a-half-mile round-trip.
The Tribute is more than one signature hole. Every trip unveils elevation changes and exciting new golf experiences. Nearly every tee is elevated, with number 3, 6, 11, 14, 16, and 18 being the most stunning. The green complexes are spectacular from hole to hole with substantial undulating greens. Yardages range from 5,085 from the forward tees to 7,347 from the tips.
